Aberdeen FC have apologised to a St Mirren fan who was targeted by a "totally unacceptable" chant.

Police are investigating the incident as a hate crime after a clip was posted on social media following the match at St Mirren's stadium on Saturday.

The video showed some Aberdeen fans chanting abuse at a St Mirren fan with additional support needs.

Both clubs have condemned the incident and said they will work to identify those responsible.
