Recent wedding photos from Penmaen Manor House overlooking Three Cliffs Bay on Gower, Swansea, by Gower wedding photographer Nic Cleave Photography

It was my pleasure to document the story of Laina and Will’s wedding day last Saturday on beautiful Gower, near Swansea in South Wales.

The story of the day began when I met Will, his best man and ushers at St. Catwg’s church in the pretty Gower village of Port Eynon. 6 year old Henry kept the guys in order until the guests started to arrive, ahead of Laina’s bridesmaids and Mum who arrived in two mini’s and were greeted by heavy rain.

Within a few minutes the rain had stopped and it was drying up as Laina arrived with her Dad. After a lovely church service the sun was out and the sky had cleared to blue as Will and Laina spent almost 30 minutes greeting, hugging and chatting with their family and friends as everyone exited from the church.

Will and Laina then took a short 5 minute walk along with their bridal party, from St. Catwg’s church, down the main street in Port Eynon all the way to the sea front. This presented a great opportunity for some lovely relaxed reportage images of this group of friends enjoying the sunshine as they took in the scenery of this pretty Gower village, passing cheering tourists as they went.

When we arrived at the beach we set up a ‘different’ confetti photo with the help of Will and Laina’s bridal party (thanks guys,) and we grabbed a few more images of everyone together before they left Will and Laina alone for a relaxed 20 minute session of ‘Bride and Groom’ photography on the sand dunes and beach.

Although the wind was strong, it was a relief to have such fine weather after the rain of the previous week, and we made the most of the beautiful Port Eynon beach and sand dunes.

We then made the short 10 minute drive back along the Gower coast to Penmean Manor House. With amazing views over Three Cliffs Bay and a marquee that looked fantastic with gorgeous views, the weather held for a few carefully selected group photos with Three Cliffs Bay behind, before Will and Laina sat down for the wedding breakfast.

The cake was cut and some emotional speeches took place before everyone sat down to enjoy Tapas and Paella.

If you were at this special day or know Laina and Will, please leave them a personal message below. All of the images from this special day will be available to view from this page, as soon as Will and Laina have seen them for themselves first.
