It was my pleasure to capture the story of Jenny and Mark’s wedding day last Saturday at the Bear Hotel in Cowbridge near Cardiff.
The story of the day started in Cardiff at Jenny’s parents home with Jenny’s preparations, before making the short trip to the Bear Hotel in Cowbridge where I met up with Mark and his best man and ushers, ahead of Jenny’s arrival.
A civil ceremony at the Bear Hotel was followed by welcome drinks and canopes in the court yard, before a few relaxed family group photos. It was then a short 5 minute walk through the town on a busy Saturday afternoon, for Jenny and Mark as they headed for the newly opened ‘Physic Gardens,’ where we spent 20 minutes capturing some great bride and groom photos. My favourite being a lovely reportage shot of the newly weds walking and chatting to an elderly couple sat on a bench.
Once back at the Bear Hotel, it was on to the wedding breakfast followed with cake cutting and speeches.
