Swansea Newborn & Baby photos from South Wales family portrait photographer, Nic Cleave Photography

It was my pleasure to photograph newborn baby Eva, along with Mum Charis, Dad Jamie and proud Grandparents, Julie and Philip last Friday at their Swansea home in South Wales.

This was my second time to photograph this special family, after Charis and Jamie’s wedding almost two years ago, so it was lovely to meet everyone again on another happy occasion.

Eva wasn’t quite three weeks old at the time of this session and was an absolute joy to photograph. We decided on a very ‘natural’ session style, and made great use of some fantastic colour in Julie and Philip’s living room, providing a great background for the images.

Added to the available light coming through the french windows, which was diffused with blinds, the light in the session area only needed one additional soft-box, left on continual lighting mode to balance things out and keep the look very ‘natural’, always my preferred kind of lighting for delicate newborn photography.

The resulting images have captured Eva at three weeks old, in as natural a way as possible. We also of course managed to capture some shots with Mum and Dad, together with Julie and Philip at the end of the session.
