I’m Nic and I’m a professional, full-time wedding photographer based in South Wales on the M4 corridor, conveniently located between Cardiff and Swansea, but covering all of Wales and the UK, with destination weddings overseas on special request. I provide a high quality and distinctively creative wedding photography service for discerning couples who have photography at the top of their priority list.
Over the last 12 years of photographing weddings, I’ve developed a photographic style that has been described by my couples as ‘creative-documentary.’ I aim to capture the complete story of your wedding day by blending unique ‘signature‘ images shot throughout the day’s events, with a set of highly creative bride and groom photos that show off your wedding venue to the fullest. The end result is a high quality, beautifully unique and truly personal record of the story of your special day that captures all of the emotions, feelings and personal details.
My approach is to remain unobtrusive and simply blend in with your guests for most of the day. In order to do this successfully, I work alone. This means the minimum of intervention from me, resulting in the minimum of disruption to the flow your special day. Group shots are still of course taken, but done in a ‘time sensitive’ and efficient way, allowing you and your guests to get back to enjoying yourselves quickly!
Despite what many people believe, documentary (or as it sometimes described ‘reportage’,) wedding photography does not mean I lurk in the bushes, using a long lens to take snap-shots of ’off-guard’ moments. It requires me to be friendly and earn the trust of your guests in a short time, placing me in the centre of the action, but not affecting the natural and spontaneous moments that occur during the unfolding of the story of your special day. This is the only way I’m able to capture the feelings and emotions as a true ‘documenatry’ wedding photographer.
Limiting the number of weddings photographed each year ensures that the experience of all my couples is an exclusive, high quality, personal and memorable one. This dedication to my craft is reflected in my uniquely designed album range, and large format display options.
