I’m Nic and I’m a professional, full-time wedding photographer based in South Wales on the M4 corridor, conveniently located between Cardiff and Swansea, but covering all of Wales and the UK, with destination weddings overseas on special request. I provide a high quality and distinctively creative wedding photography service for discerning couples who have photography at the top of their priority list.
Over the last 12 years of photographing 250+ weddings, I’ve developed a photographic style that has been described by my couples as ‘creative-documentary.’ I aim to capture the complete story of your wedding day by blending unique ‘signature‘ images shot throughout the day’s events, with a set of highly creative bride and groom photos that show off your wedding venue to the fullest. The end result is a high quality, beautifully natural and truly personal record of the story of your special day, that captures all of the emotions, feelings and personal details that are so important to you.
My couples say they prefer my ‘environmental portraiture’ which produces stunning images of them surrounded by the location and environment of their wedding day, rather than the heavily directed and overly posed, time consuming, ’fashion style’ set-ups that many wedding photographers rely on to produce close-up images of couples looking lovingly at each other or at the camera, that could have been taken anywhere. This ensures the minimum of intervention from me, meaning that your wedding day isn’t taken up by hours of endless photography, yet still produces highly creative and personal images that my couples love, because they are more natural and personal to you.
My approach is to remain unobtrusive and simply blend in with your guests for most of the day. In order to do this successfully, I work alone. Group shots are still of course taken, but done in a ‘time sensitive’ and efficient way, allowing you and your guests to get back to enjoying yourselves quickly!
Limiting the number of weddings photographed each year ensures that the experience of all my couples is an exclusive, high quality, personal and memorable one.
