It was my pleasure to photograph Katie (almost 1 year old,) with Mum and Dad, Gemma and Gareth last week in a beautiful outdoor location-based family portrait session, which took place in Gnoll Park in Neath, South Wales.
Gemma and Gareth are former wedding clients of mine from three years ago who wanted photos of Katie at the time she turned one, to remember her first year by. Gemma had seen another recent outdoor session of mine also shot in Gnoll Park, and despite never having visited this fantastic park before, straight away decided it was the fresh, natural and bright look that she wanted for her own family portrait session.
Katie was a complete ‘star’ in front of the camera, despite the cold wind and low temperatures more akin to March and April than June. Mum and Dad were also great, not affraid to join in with favourite nursery rhymes and making silly faces to catch Katie’s attention. This was a fun 30 minute session for all involved.
These are my favourite kind of family portrait sessions as the resulting images require little or no posing and almost no intervention from me, allowing families to enjoy their time outdoors together in a ‘natural’ way that produces ‘real’ images of people enjoying themselves with their loved ones.

Thank you once again for our wonderful images produced of us and Katie after our shoot a few weeks ago. The multi print is amazing and will take pride of place in our dining room.
The quality of sevice you offer is first class and we would definatley reccommend you to family and friends without hesitation. You have now captured two important times in our lives (the first being our wedding nearly three years ago) and we are looking forward to seeing you again in the future.
