Pre-wedding shoot including a studio preview session £195

A ‘dry run’ of the photography part of your wedding day for £195

Getting married is often the first time that most people are photographed by a professional photographer. It therefore makes sense to have a ‘dry run’ with the photography part of your day, as many brides will with their hair and make-up stylist etc.

You can get used to the way your photographer works, see his/her work first hand, and have the opportunity to ‘fine tune’ poses and the style and type of photos you are both looking for from your forthcoming wedding day. It’s also the perfect opportunity for you to discuss tips and tricks with your photographer to ensure that you look the best in your photos.

Camera-shy or nervous?

Many of our couples claim to be ‘camera-shy’ when we initially meet them, or full-on nervous at the thought of being photographed professionally. It is often these couples who are most glad afterwards, that they included a pre-wedding shoot in their wedding photography package.

Venue visit with your photographer

If your pre-wedding shoot takes place at your wedding venue, it will be the perfect time to explore photo opportunities and to discuss with your photographer where you might want photos on the day to be taken.

Pre-wedding shoot photos in your wedding album?

Increasingly we are finding that many couples are so pleased with their pre-wedding shoot photos that they are requesting that we include some of them in their final wedding album designs. Also of course, if your shoot takes place in beautiful weather but the big day itself is wet, you still have some beautiful intimate photos of yourselves taken outside.

Location and timing of the session

This of course depends on you. We recommend that your session happens at least three months before the big day itself. (Any closer and you will be too caught up in the last minute planning for the big day itself to fully relax and then choose your favourite images afterwards.)

If you are getting married in our local area we might suggest that you consider using the actual venue (with their permission,) or otherwise can always recommend local places that will provide a spectacular backdrop for your session photos. Another choice is to select somewhere important or special to the two of you for your session.

How it works and what’s included

Most sessions last 1-2 hours on-site. Within a few days a small selection of your images will be featured on our blog. We will then invite you into the studio for a viewing session on our 80 inch big screen, where you will get to see all of the images from your session. A full range of display options is of course available and most couples usually order a number of large format display options at the end of the viewing session. Click here to see the full range.

Our popular ‘Signing Book’ and ‘Signing Board.’

Why not select up to 30 images from your pre-wedding shoot and have them printed in our fantastic ‘Signing Book’. With corresponding blank pages for your guests to sign personal messages to you on your wedding day, these popular signing books are A4 in size, with hard backs and lay flat paper. They come with a stylish black presentation box and are a great way to remember the love, closeness and emotions of your pre-shoot through the images, and your wedding day through your guests comments.

Our popular ‘signing boards’ hold a framed print from your pre-shoot in the middle of a large matted area, designed for your guests to write comments on. Frames are made to order and available in a wide variety of styles and colours.
