I’m Nic and a full-time, professional location-based family portrait and wedding photographer, based in South Wales on the M4 corridor between Cardiff and Swansea, covering all of Wales and the UK on request. I specialise in photographing newborns and babies but also regularly photograph children, families and couples.
My photographic style is based around producing natural looking and creative images that capture the personalities of you and your loved ones. Using the best lighting techniques from traditional ‘studio’ photography, together with the creative use of ‘available light’, and combining these with a more natural ‘environmental,’ location-based shooting style, ensures that my images capture you and your loved ones in a way that you’ll cherish for a lifetime to come.
My families often react to seeing their photos with comments like …”You have really captured his/her personality…” “…the photos have captured exactly how we see her/him…” and they always love the ‘naturalness’ of the images. This is a very different reaction most parents have, compared to looking at traditional nursery/school/high street studio photos, taken of their children.
My approach is friendly and unobtrusive, preferring to record your loved ones in a natural way when you are all relaxed and having fun. Undertaking a limited number of location-based portrait sessions each year, I aim to ensure that the quality of my work, and the experience of my clients is second to none.
My popular natural and relaxed style of portrait photography has received a growing list of awards from professional organisations, and my commercial portraiture is published world-wide. It is however, the long list of kind words and referrals from my portrait clients that provide the real drive and passion for my work.
