It was my pleasure to capture the story of Vicky and Gavin’s wedding last Saturday at the Penrice Castle Estate on Gower near Swansea, South Wales.
The story of the day started at Morgan’s Hotel in the centre of Swansea with Vicky’s preparations in the bridal suite. I then left the hotel to make my way down to one of my favourite churches, St. Teilo’s church in Bishopston, to meet Gavin and the guys.
After the church ceremony at St. Teilo’s we made our way around the coast to a private apartment complex which has great views over Caswell Bay. Unfortunately as we arrived we were faced with the start of some more heavy rain, so only had about 2 minutes outside the car, before Vicky and Gavin had to climb back in to stay dry.
We continued into Gower arriving at the Penrice Castle Estate to find a massive marquee waiting for the wedding reception to start.
Short breaks in the heavy rain allowed for a few group photos outside, and meant that Vicky and Gavin had about 10 minutes for a short walk towards the ruins of Penrice Castle, for a few more bride and groom photos, before we returned to the marque for the wedding breakfast, followed with cake cutting and speeches.
