As a proud Dad of three wonderful children myself, it’s no surprise to hear that newborn baby photography has become a ‘speciality’ of mine.
Our newborn sessions take place in the comfort of your home and are designed to capture those precious early day memories of your little one’s arrival. Ideally these sessions are scheduled within the first few days of your baby’s arrival, and certainly within the first 4 weeks.
Sessions are relaxed and totally determined by your baby and his/her needs, so stopping for a feed or nappy change etc, are all expected.
Most parents prefer the minimal artificial lighting techniques used, as the resulting images capture some your home environment (maybe the nursery that you spent weeks decorating!) and the home that you have brought your baby into. That said, I always arrive with a car full of the latest lighting equipment, just in case you prefer a more ‘studio’ look, and to help out if the lighting inside needs supplementing.
The photography focuses on your baby, capturing the small details that disappear so quickly during these first few days and weeks. We also make sure of course that Mum and Dad are included, together with any older siblings and occasionally proud Grandparents too!
