Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ's
To provide you with more information about our wedding photography services and to answer some of common questions we are often asked by the couples we meet and work with, we have compiled the following list of Frequently Asked Questions...
Questions relating to Wedding Photography in general:

Why should we spend money on hiring a professional wedding photographer when all of our guests will be taking photos throughout the day?

Professional wedding photography isn't expensive...it's priceless. This once-in-a-lifetime event will never be repeated. A professional photographer will be ready and able to capture excellent quality photographs of all the key moments, plus the moments that are often unseen by the Bride and Groom and guests. Dealing with rapidly changing lighting situations, shooting inside then outside, and of course having invested huge sums of money in the best possible primary and back up equipment, hiring a professional wedding photographer will ensure that once your big day has come and gone, you will have those precious memories forever. Most people agree that paying a professional wedding photographer to undertake this important task is certainly worth the investment when it's compared to other costs like the venue and the dress etc.

Why does it cost so much for a photographer who will only be at our wedding for 5-6 hours?

On average we spend more than 80 hours on each couple and wedding we photograph and usually spend 8-12 hours at each wedding photographed. Modern wedding photographers don't simply turn up on the day, take a handful of photographs and then disappear. We invest time in each of our couples, meeting them (sometimes 2 or 3 times,) talking to them on the phone and corresponding by email and post leading up to their wedding. Where possible we also visit venues if we haven't worked there before, to ensure that we are familiar with the surroundings and the setup which is unique to each location. We contact and speak with the key staff from these venues to check what their photography policies are, and to ensure that things run smoothly on your big day.

When we are asked to cover the whole day, we may be working from 8.30am until after midnight. It then takes on average 2-3 days to process your proof wedding photographs in our digital studio, a further 2-3 days to layout and design a storybook wedding album, and further hours are then spent preparing the images that our couples choose for their included and extra print orders.

Because we only ever photograph one wedding per day, and because of the time involved in processing albums and print orders, we have to limit the number of weddings we cover in any one month and have to set our prices accordingly.

If you are looking to choose your wedding photographer based on price alone, we suggest you look elsewhere, as we are certainly not the cheapest.

If however, you are looking for a dedicated professional with the experience and award-winning artistic ability to capture the feelings of your day and document the 'whole' story of the day's events in a relaxed and friendly way, you need look no further.

How should we choose our wedding photographer?

Wherever possible couples should choose their wedding photographer with the following things in mind and in this order of importance: 1) Style of photography 2) Personality of photographer 3) Budget. It's vital that you should both be completely at ease with the photographer you choose. If you are not comfortable in his/her presence, this will certainly show in your final wedding day photographs. We feel it's important to build a relationship with the couples we work with. When everyone is relaxed, we can concentrate on making the beautiful natural and relaxed photographs that are couples are looking for.

How do we compare photographers?

It's natural when meeting a number of different photographers that you will want to make some kind of comparison between them. To make it more difficult, all photographers work in different ways, offer different kinds and combination of packages etc. However one mistake couples have been known to make and regret hugely later, is to select their photographer based on price alone. Unfortunately it's not as easy as this.

If you are looking to buy fuel for your car you simply go to the cheapest garage in your area, as the end product is always the same. Wedding photography is a mixture of technical expertise and art.
Even if two prices are the same, the product will not be. As long as you keep this mind when meeting your shortlist of photographers and 'comparing' the services they have on offer, we are sure you will make the right choice for you.

We are often told by wedding guest when taliking to them during the day how disappointed they were with their own wedding photos. When talking more with them they usually admit that they simply based their selection of wedding photographer on price alone and now realise that this was a mistake. For them it's too late, but if your're reading this and planning your own wedding, it's not too late for you.

We have found another photographer who offers the same albums for a cheaper price, why should we book you?

Simple. Although many photographers in the UK will offer albums from the same companies as each other, the better photographers always ensure that final albums are designed in-house to maintain the uniqueness of each and every album produced.

Most album companies now allow photographers to submit photos to them on a CD. They then take control of the album design process. The finished album quality is great but all the albums start to look the same. We are also concerned that designers in Italy were not present during the unfolding of the story of your day. They do not know who your important friends and family members are, so how can they produce a truly meaningful album that will faithfully re-create the story of your day?

Our albums are unique to each and every couple we work with. Our storybook albums are designed completely from scratch in-house. We work closely with our reportage album supplier and design our own unique page overalys which are cut and only available to us.  All of this attention to detail and the time involved in the design process is the reason why our couples choose to invest in the quality of the of our unique luxury albums.

When should we book our photographer?

The best wedding photographers are booked well in advance. Just like the most popular venues we work at, which are now often booked on Saturdays up to three years in advance. We only ever photograph one wedding per day and only so many weddings per month. Once a date has been reserved, it's taken. We have taken bookings from couples planning their wedding two and three years in advance, and this is not unusual. As a general rule if you're getting married on a Saturday in Apr, May, Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, Dec, and Jan, we are usually fully booked in these months 9-12 months in advance. Weekdays, other times of the year and occasionally the odd Saturday during these popular months, may still be free, so always contact us to check our availability.

I'm confused by all the different styles of wedding photography. What's the difference?

Our preferred style of wedding and portrait photography is Reportage. This a documentary style of social photography that aims to tell a story of the day/event through the photographs that are taken of key moments in an un-obtrusive manner, as well as those events which are highly personal or hold significant meanings to the people involved. This style of photography is also sometimes referred to as 'Candid,' 'Photo-Journalism' or 'Lifestyle' and is more contemporary than the traditional 'posed only style' of formal wedding photography. Formal wedding photography generally captures only the formally posed and 'wooden' group photographs of only a few key moments throughout the day and requires a high level of obtrusive envolvement on the part of the photographer who basically 'directs' your wedding day.

A professional reportage wedding photographer will of course take more formal posed shots and traditional group shots of family and friends etc, however the bulk of their photographs will be the more relaxed 'candid' shots that have become so popular in the last few years in the UK. Please note that 'relaxed' 'candid shots' does not mean only 'snapshots' are taken. Some of the best reportage photography actually requires some degree of posing or set-up to ensure the resulting photographs really do look like they occurred 'naturally,' however the setting up of these images is done in an un-obtrusive and relaxed way.

Questions relating specifically to our services and products:

We've seen your website and like your work. What should we do next?

Please contact us either by email or preferably by phone. The first thing we need to do (after offering you both our congratulations,) is to check that we are still free on your chosen day. The next stage is to invite you both to come along and meet us.

This first meeting usually takes from 45 to 90 minutes depending upon each couple. Before the meeting we suggest that both of you take the time to browse through our website, as this enables you to see the full range of services we are able to provide, and of course will give an idea as to total package costs. During the meeting itself we will find out more about you both, your wedding in general and you your wedding photography requirements more specifically. We will show you examples of our work, our prints and our albums, and you will of course have the opportunity to ask us the many questions we are sure you will both have.

During this informal meeting
we do not believe in hard selling to our clients. There are three reasons for this: 1) We do not like to receive hard-selling as customers ourselves. 2) We are not very good at hard-selling. 3) We firmly believe that the quality of our award-winning work sells itself far better than any sales script we could come out with!

At the end of the meeting we will provide you with a
pack of information and current price lists to enable you both to review our services and products at home in your own time.

How do we book you and how much is the deposit?

To secure your wedding photography booking with us we require just two things. A non-refundable deposit of £250 (minimum,) and the return of our standard booking form. Because of the high number of enquiries we receive and the limited number of weddings we cover in any one month, we do not hold dates open. You are of course free to contact us as often as you like to check that your date is still free.

We haven't set a date or chosen a venue yet but would like to book you. Is this possible?

Yes it is. We have worked with many couples in this situation and have even had couples change the date of their wedding because we were already booked on their first choice. We'll accept the booking form and deposit to secure your date, and then work with you as you meet your venues to ensure that you choose a date that we are still free on.

When do we pay the balance due?

We require full payment on or before four weeks before the day of your wedding for all services and products requested.

Are there any extra 'hidden' costs?

No there aren't. We provide clear
pricing information both on our website and in our information sheets. Just to recap, here is a complete list of supplimentary charges for mainland UK, effective as of Jan 2008. Classic + 15%

What happens if your prices increase before our wedding day?

Our package prices are guaranteed at the time you book us, no matter how far in advance that may be. We do occassionally have to increase our prices as our suppliers increase theirs. Your chosen photographic coverage and album, together with any of our other optional services that are selected at the time of booking, are guaranteed. Services and products ordered later are charged at their current prices at the time of ordering, as displayed on this website.

Are your prices fixed and is there any discount for cash or just taking a few photos for us?

Yes and No. Our prices are carefully worked out to ensure that we can cover all of our overheads and make enough profit to allow a reasonable standard of  living to support our family and business. Other than print prices, we can not adjust our charges and unfortunately can not offer any discounts for 'cash' payments. Please note that we often receive two-to-three times more enquiries than we have booking spaces available, especially for the most popular months of the year.

We often receive calls asking if we can
"...take just a few photos during the ceremony and then a few afterwards..." Of course we can. However if this is all you require we will still have to charge you for our 'Classic' photographic coverage on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday/Bank Holiday. If your date is on a weekday (Mon-Thu,) you may wish to consider our new 'Week Day Package.' Please note that our packages (other than our weekday package,) are charged on a per-wedding basis, and not on the length of time we are with you on the day itself. Sometimes we may attend a wedding for as little as 6 hours, but more common is an attendance of 8-12 hours. Our package prices do not change as a result.

How long should we allow for photos on our wedding day?

This depends on how important the photographs of your day are to you. 30% of the couples who hire us request that we do not take any formal posed group shots, however the majority of couples will request that we take a series of more formal family and friend group shots.

For couples with an average group of 100 guests who require our 'standard' group shots at their reception venue, together with a series of more 'intimate' bride and groom shots, we would suggest
allowing at least two hours, if the shots are not to be rushed or limited in terms of variety and creativity. Obviously the actual amount of time set asside for your photos will depend on many factors like the weather on the day, choice of venue, time of service and serving of food at your meal, size of wedding party, the types of shots requested etc etc.

We have provided our couples with an idea of what kind of shots are included in our 'standard' group shots and how long photos take at an 'average wedding' on the third page of our
Wedding Coverage Information Sheet here.

When and how do we pay for extra prints, extra albums and your other products?

At the time of ordering and in full. We require advance payment for any extra services ordered from us. Once your payment has cleared, your order will be processed.

When and how will we receive our prints and albums etc?

All of our products are sent by recorded delivery to a secure address. Album and print orders will vary depending upon the time of year. From receipt of a print order, we would normally hope to get your prints to you within 2-3 weeks. Storybook albums can take up to 3-4 days to design and then up to 8-12 weeks to be printed and bound in Italy and shipped back to us. These times may vary and we will keep our couples informed of any unusual delays.

Digital Enhancement v's Digital Re-Touching...?

All of the images from your day are taken through an extensive digital process before you get to see the proof prints. They are colour and contrast corrected with blemishes removed from skin like pimples, spots and shaving rash, and distracting non-invasive background elements are removed (for eg. wall exit signs etc.) We then further enhance your selected images that go into your album or are chosen for prints etc. Nic is a professional photographer so this 'Digital Enhancement' is part of his service to his clients.

However occassionally we are asked if we can..."make people dissapear..look 10 years younger... lose weight...add people who weren't in the original photo...remove comlicated background scenery elements etc..." These request are for
'Digital Retouching' and go beyond the realms of Nic's 'Digital Enhancment' of his work.

Digital retouching is a serious profession of it's own and these kinds of major changes to photos are best left to the professional re-touchers who are qualified graphic artists and illustraters (not photographers,) if the final prints are to look 'natural'. We have a re-touching company we can use if requested, but the costs are usually around £100 per hour (plus VAT,) and as they are not included in our package prices as part of our standard service, they will of course have to be passed onto our clients.

Why are your coverage and album choices separate?

Simple. To maximise your choice! Unlike most wedding photograhers, we do not force our couples to choose from predetermined packages, as this restricts your choice and forces you to select a package that may include things that are unwanted or not to your personal taste. To maximise your freedom of choice and to ensure that your chosen package contains only the things you really want, we encourage our couples to select their own wedding photography packages. Don't worry though, this process is straight forward. Simply follow these three steps:

Step 1) Choose your level of photographic coverage (how much of the day you want photographed.)

Step 2) Choose which style and size of wedding album you prefer (either a traditional A4 matted or Reportage album with real photographic prints, or a contemporary storybook wedding album.)

Step 3) Select any of our optional products and services (including a DVD of all your photographs, images on a CD, luxury canvas/block mount prints, our unique Bridal Wedding Day Gifts.)

This system allows a couple that want the whole day photographed, to select a small traditional matted wedding album. It also allows a couple that only want the wedding ceremony iteself photographed, to choose the largest storybook album set and so on. The front page of our booking form provides you with the chance to make your selection in these three areas.

Do we have to include a wedding album?

No. Those couples who do not require a wedding album are free to select our  'Digital Wedding Package.' However, for those couples who choose our more traditional wedding packages, we are only able to supply our photographic coverage when one of our albums is also ordered. This is for two reasons. Firstly and most importantly, we wish to be able to guarantee that your precious memories are protected for a lifetime in an album that you will still be proud of on your 25th and 50th wedding anniversaries. Secondly, to protect our work and professional reputation, we need to be sure that your photographs are protected and will always look their best. With the wide choice of albums that we offer, there is a style and size of album to fit everyone's personal taste and all budgets.

Can you supply smaller Parent albums and framed prints etc?

Yes we can. Our classic and premium storybook album sets include two 8 x 8 inch smaller copies of the main album. We can also supply beautiful 8 x 8 inch mini traditional albums which each hold fifteen 7 x 5 inch prints, or 10 x 8 inch mini reportage album which holds twelve 8 x 6 inch prints. Both are extremely popular with parents and families.

Does your photographic coverage include any prints?

Yes. Our two main packages include all of your photos (250-300,) supplied as 5 x 4 inch proof prints for you to keep. They also include five 'finished un-framed prints which measure either 12 x 8 or 7 x 5 inches. These prints are chosen by you after you have seen all of your wedding photographs. You can choose full colour, black and white or sepia toned prints at no extra cost, and can even select multiple copies of the same photograph or colour and black and white versions of the same image. Prints are supplied without an album (though we can supply them in one of our beautiful traditional matted albums if required,) and care instructions are also provided to ensure that they last their guaranteed 75+ years.
(Our digital package does not include any finished prints.)

Can we still order extra prints?

Yes of course. After you have ordered your coverage prints, you are free to order any of the photographs from your day as extra prints in a variety of sizes in colour, sepia toned or black and white finishes or as *selectively coloured photographs.

Why do you charge more for selectively coloured photographs? (Black and white prints with small hand-coloured areas.)

Because it takes a long time to process a selectively coloured print. We therefore have to charge more for this style of print when ordered. (Please note that any selectively coloured proof images will need to be re-processed if ordered as prints and album images.)

Why are your print prices set at their current level?

Over the years experience has shown us that because we include finished prints with our photographic coverage, most couples need to order few extra prints. Because print orders are usually for low numbers, we have to cover the cost of preparing each print, sending it to our Pro print lab in the North of England and then posting it to securely to each client.

Why is there a minimum print order of three prints?

Every time we receive a print order we have to pay bank and postal charges to cash your cheque send our work off to our pro-lab, and then securely to our clients. We also have to invest time in processing the images that have been ordered. Unfortunately this means that we have to set a minimum order amount of three prints.

Can you offer us any discount if we order a lot of extra prints?

Yes we can. Depending upon the number of prints ordered, we are able to discount the prices shown for large print orders. Family and friends can order prints directly from the private gallery on our website at our regular prices, or through the Bride and Groom. If our couples can collect all required orders for prints from family and friends etc, we can then offer discounts for large orders.

Can we order extra albums and services after the wedding day?

Yes you can. We archive your wedding photographs and can accept extra album, print, canvas print, CD and DVD orders up to two years after your wedding day. Prices will however be charged at current rates when ordering
.

How many photographs will we get and what time and photograph limits are there?

This depends on your chosen level of
photographic coverage. When asked to cover an all day wedding we often provide from 250 to 300 individual photographs, but again the exact number depends upon each couple as no two weddings are ever the same. Remember that you get a 5 x 4 inch proof print of every photograph from your day to keep.

We do not impose limits on our photographic coverage. To do so would  limit our ability to accurately tell the story of your day through the photographs we take. We arrive when requested in the morning, and can stay as late as you need us. We usually leave your reception after the speeches have finished but are available to stay later if required, however we charge for our time (£75 per hour or part thereof from the end of the speeches until we leave, payble after the wedding day.)

Will we get to see all photographs taken?

No. As a professional photographer part of Nic's service is to selectively edit the images he takes so that you don't have to. Experience has shown us that when couples are faced with more than 300 images, selecting 60-90 for an album becomes an almost impossible (and very time consuming,) task.

How long will it take before our photographs and albums are ready?

This will depend on the time of year and how busy we are. We don't want to rush the processing of your precious memories. Our aim is to have your proof prints and on-line  slide shows ready within two weeks of your wedding, (though often this can be closer to 10 days which is great if you wish to have a quick peek while on honeymoon!.) We aim to return all print orders within 2-3 weeks of receiving them, and all matted and reportage album orders within 2 months.
(Our storybook albums once designed in-house by us, are printed and bound in Italy and can take up to 12 weeks to be returned to us.)

How can we view our photographs after the wedding?

All of our couples (except for those choosing our Digital Package,) receive all of their photographs (250-300,) as 5 x 4 inch proof prints. these are for you to keep, but primarily designed to allow you to see evey photo as a finished print. This makes selecting images for your albums and prints much easier than simply watching a slide show. These proof images are also very popular with family and friends as they get to see how the final images they select for themselves as prints, will actually look before placing their orders.

Couples also receive a password protected
private gallery page on our website. From here you and your friends and family are able to view all of the photographs from your day as a digital slide show. We create a slide show for each stage of your day, bridal preparations, ceremony and reception. After automatically downloading the simple viewing plug-in for windows, these shows can be watched from any computer connected to the internet. Private galleries expire two mosnth after the wedding and are subject to a £25 per month re-loading and hosting fee.)

Can we choose the photographs in our album?

If you are ordering an A4
traditional matted album, then yes you can. If you have chosen a storybook album set, we will ask you to select any images from your proof slide shows that you definitely don't want to see in your storybook album. We then select up to 150 individual images that we feel best tell the story of your day and custom design your album.

If you have selected our traditional r
eportage album, we'll ask you to select a pool of 90 photographs from all of those taken, and further select 8-10 images that you would like as large prints in the album. We will then select the rest of the images from your 'pool' and design your reportage album accordingly, using a combination of different syle page overlays, that may include from 1 to 6 individual prints per page. Reportage albums can contain from 50 to 90 individual photographs.

Because of the time involved we are unable to show proof page copies and make changes. Most couples are happy to allow the photographer who photographed their story, to then decide how that story is best told through the images in their final album. To date we have never received any complaints about our beautiful albums, but often hear that many tears (of joy,) were shed when first viewing them!

What's the difference between the DVD slide show and the CD of original images?

The DVD slide show included with our all day Premium coverage and available as an extra service to other couples,
does not contain any physical photographs which can be emailed or printed. It is a professionally authored digital show of every photograph set to music. It will play on most home DVD recorders and on most home computers.

The CD of original high resolution jpeg files, contains all the individual photographs from your wedding. These images can be emailed and printed, used as wallpaper and screen savers etc. In effect this disc is a complete set of the negatives from your wedding photographs. They are the same files that we use to prepare your print and album orders from.
Please note that images supplied on our CD's will be technically perfect but will not have been prepared for printing. For this reason most of our couples come back to us if they require re-prints or enlargements as prints made at home will not do justice to your amazing images.

Can you recommend any other wedding service providers we may still be looking for?

Yes we can. We only recommend companies and people that we have worked with before and know to provide the same high level of professional and friendly service as ourselves. Planning a wedding is not something that most people have experience at doing before. Therefore if we can be of any help in suggesting other vendors and providing their contact details, we're only too happy to assist you.

We are currently living overseas or in another area of the UK but wil be getting married in Wales. Can we still book you as our wedding photographer?

Yes you can. We have very quickly developed a reputation for providing high quality wedding photography to couples in this exact situation. We ourselves planned a wedding overseas whilst living and working in Japan and fully appreciate the extra challenges that this can present. We have worked with, and are working with couples who are based in New Zealand, Australia, Europe and all across the UK. We are always ready to help in any way we can.

If you are planning to return to Wales before your wedding, we can arrange a time to meet at your convenience. We simply email you all of our forms and information sheets and can accept international money transfers for deposit payments. Then you only have to post your completed booking form back to us to guarantee your day
. Later when you are able to visit us in person, we can discuss the finer details of your package and of course show the full range of work and services etc.

What's the process once we've sent you our deposit and returned your booking form?

As soon as we have received your booking form and deposit we will send you a receipt by return of post. We will also include a 'Balance Due Statement' which will confirm your chosen level of coverage, size and style of album, plus any optional services and products you have selected at this time. You will see exactly how much the balance payment will be, and we will provide you with the final  due date. You are of course free to pay your balance at any time up to the final balance due date. You will also receive our 'Wedding Day Questionnaire' which we will ask you to fill in over the coming months before your big day.

If you have chosen venues that we have not worked at before and if they are within a 30 mile round trip of our studio, we will make arrangements to visit these locations before your day. Sometimes it may even be possible to visit the venue togther with you both.

Two to three months before your big day we will ask you to send back your Wedding Day Questionnaire, to allow us to check your final details and plans.

The week before your wedding we'll contact by phone in the evening to check on any last minute changes to your plans.

As many couples book us 18 months to two years before their wedding day, we are available to answer any questions you may have throughout the time that passes between you booking us and your wedding day arriving. We enjoy building a comfortable relationship with you, which means that you should feel at ease calling us with any questions which you may think of, and we always enjoy hearing how your other preparations are going.

Do you photograph same-sex civil partnership ceremonies?

Yes. We have no problem photographing your same-sex civil partnership ceremony and have experience of covering this type of day for a number of couples.
Click here for more information and to see a sample slide show from a recent civil partnership ceremony we have photographed.

Do you photograph winter weddings?

Yes. We have extensive experience of creating breath-taking wedding images even during the short, dark, cold winter months. Visit our gallery page here to see stunning images from winter weddings we have photographed.

Many wedding photographers are reluctant to accept bookings for winter weddings between October and April because they lack the skills and experience to be able to work in the low/poor or even dark light conditions of winter. We firmly believe that even though the weather may restrict you to being inside for the whole day, you should still expect your wedding photographer to be able to create some truly stunning images of your day's events. As the popularity of winter weddings in the UK grows, we have seen our winter season become increasingly busy with commissions. The gallery will show you why.

Do you charge any extra for winter weddings?

No we don't. Even though it may be more difficult to photograph a winter wedding, we do not charge a single penny more for this service.

What would happen in the unlikely event that you were unable to attend our wedding?

Firstly, Nic would need to be hospitalised or physically unable to make it to your wedding, to not be there. In the unlikely event of this happening, or of an accident/breakdown on the way to your wedding, we would of course keep you fully informed of the situation.

If  ill or hospitalised before the day of your wedding, we would try our best to find a replacement photographer from those that we network closely with. Rest assured we would only be happy with another photographer who we feel would be able to provide a simliar level of service and photographic style. We of course would do the same for our colleagues.

For those couples who are not reassured by the above, we can recommend several wedding day insurance companies that will provide insurance against situations like this, should you be unfortunate enough to have them happen to you.

Do you have insurance?

Yes we do. As professional photographers, we have invested in full  public liability insurance to cover us for accidents on public or private property and we also have professional endemnity and of course equipment insurance.

What's your cancellation policy?

All cancellations must be advised to us in writing. We can not accept emails or telephone cancellations.

Our 'deposit' taken to secure your date and booking is a non-refundable retainer. If you cancel your booking due to a date change and we are still free on this new date, we will not charge you a second deposit, but will expect full payment for your wedding photography package at the time the new date is agreed and confirmed.

For weddings that are cancelled at any time from booking confirmation up to six months before the day, we charge 50% or the remaining balance payment. For weddings cancelled after this 6 months but before three months of the date, we charge 80% of the remaining balance payment. If we re-book your date with another wedding we will refund your cancellation fee in full. However, as most of our clients book our services 12-18 months in advance of their big day, we are very unlikely to re-book a date that is cancelled within this six month period.

Obviously we appreciate that the reasons for cancelling a wedding are usually serious and personally distressing, however we run a small family business which is based on trust and good faith. We take bookings up to three years in advance and most months end up beeing fully booked well in advance. Once we have confirmed a date we often receive many other requests from interested couples who are getting married on the same date. These are always referred on to other photographers, so when a cancellation occurs, our family income for the year and the cash-flow of our business can be seriously disrutpted, which is why we have such a strict cancellation policy which will be upheld in
all situations.

By signing our wedding photography booking form, all couples are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to this cancellation policy, and it is followed in all situations.

We've seen your website and love your photography but we live far away and are unable to meet you. We're worried someone else might book you on our date?

As mentioned above, we work with many couples who are planning their weddings in Wales from other locations in the UK and the across the world. Unfortunately as we receive so many enquiries throughout the year, we do not hold dates open. If you have contacted us and been told that your date is still currently available, you are more than welcome to contact us as often as you like to check that this is still the case.

Many couples in this situation are desperate to ensure that we are not booked on their date. On request we are able to email you our booking form (together with all our other information,) and can accept deposit payments by cheque or by direct bank transfer. Once the booking form is then received in the post, your date is guaranteed. We will then confirm this either by post (UK) or by email (overseas.)

Please be assured that many couples confirm their bookings with us in this way, without even meeting us based on the strength of our website. Although meeting you before your big day is not absolutely vital, we would strongly suggest that you make an appointment to meet us just before the big day when you arrive in the area, so that you will both feel comfortable with us on the day itself.
