Our mobile event photography studio can be seen below and generally can be set up in a space of 20 x 20 feet (5 x 5m's.) If you're planning an event and thinking of offering this kind of service to your clients/guests here are a few things to consider which will help to ensure that the service runs smoothly and is well received:
1) Space: If we aren't able to use an area of the size outlined above, then obviously we can't set up. Don't have enough space? Then speak to us about your requirements before the day and we'll explain some alternative set-ups than can work in smaller spaces.
2) Location: Where possible the service runs more smoothly if it can be set up in the same room/space as your dinner/party so that we are not 'forgotten' by your guests or hidden in a separate area/room. The general rule is that if guests can't see us, they won't come looking for us once the drinks start to flow!
3) Timing: We will stay until we feel that the service has come to it's natural conclusion. Some people will want a photo taken on arrival but others may be too shy or reluctant to have their photo taken until they've had a drink or two. Generally speaking, once the meal/food has finished, we aim to stay for a further 30 minutes to be able to capture those last-minute requests for a photo.
4) Promotion: Pre-event promotion will ensure that your guests arrive with enough pocket change cash for their photo. Once you have booked us and received confirmation of our attendance at your event, please feel free to add the service to your brochures, mail-outs and press/radio advertising for your event.
Throughout your event it helps greatly if your DJ/PA announcer can periodically remind guests that we're on site and of course can give our 'half an hour to go' message before we leave.
5) Power: We bring extension power cables with us, but to minimise the number of cables we have to use it's always best if our position is close to a major power outlet. We don't require anything special, just a regular 240 volt power supply for our studio lighting, printers and viewing station. |
