Duffryn Springs Cardiff, recent wedding photos from Newport wedding photographer, Nic Cleave Photography

It was my pleasure to capture the story of Sally-Ann and Stuart’s wedding last Saturday at Duffryn Springs near Cardiff.

The story of the day started with Sally-Ann’s preparations in a suite at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, with views over the new 2010 Ryder Cup golf course. I then left Sally-Ann and made my way up the Vale of Glamorgan towards Risca and St. Mary’s church where was scheduled to meet Stuart and the guys.

On arrival at the church a little ‘birdy’ informed me that the boys could be found in a nearby pub, with Stuart still working on his speech for later!

Sally-Ann arrived with her Dad and bridesmaids and the service began. Afterwards we made our way back down the M4 towards Cardiff and Duffryn Springs for the wedding reception in a huge marquee.

Guests were enjoying the warm sunny weather outside the marquee next to the lake, so we got the family group shots out of the way, and then I took a short tour of the fishing lake and grounds with Stuart and Sally-Ann to capture some bride and groom shots.

We then headed inside for the wedding breakfast followed by speeches and the cutting of two cakes (one made completely of cheese by Stuart who’s a chef,) and then finished the story of the day off with some photos outside as the sun set, of Stuart riding the ‘mechanical sheep.’ A humorous end to a fun-filled day.
