| Why should we hire a UK-based wedding photographer for our destination wedding overseas? For many couples planning a destination wedding of their dreams, the organisation of the perfect day is already hard enough, without having to find a local wedding photographer who you can communicate with in English and trust with one of the most important photo sessions of your lives. For those couples who hire us, taking a chance on the quality of their precious wedding photography by hiring someone local to their chosen far-flung destination, is simply a risk they are not willing to take. By taking Nic with you to your destination wedding, you will have the piece of mind offered by knowing that he is an award-winning wedding photographer. You will have met him in person before the wedding (if you are able to make it to our South Wales studio,) or at least will be familiar with his work from our website and have spent many hours talking over the phone or using MSN Messenger for a web conference meeting before flying out to your destination. How much will it cost? Our destination wedding photography package price willreflect the fact that this is a specialised service and that when we accept a destination wedding booking, we are effectively closing off our ability to accept a second or third booking for the same 3-4 day weekend period. VAT at the standard rate of 17.5% and the travel and accommodation costs, (which will vary depending upon the location of your wedding,) will also be added to the total package price. We require a 50% deposit to secure a date for a destination wedding booking. This is simply beacuse we will have to use the deposit to book early flights, car hire and hotels etc. The balance of your total package will be due no later than two months before the big day itself. How far will you travel? The information and prices on this page are for destinations within Europe. Nic has photographed weddings in South East Asia and is happy to travel anywhere in the world. However due to the increased travel costs of long haul flights, time away from the studio etc, destination weddings outside of mainland Europe will be quoted on an individual basis. Destination wedding photography package Package includes: * Nic’s award-winning wedding photography at your wedding destination within Europe. * Bridal preparations at the hotel or other location. * Groom and Best Man/Ushers at the ceremony venue. * Natural reportage photos of guests at the ceremony venue. * Bride’s arrival at the venue. * The ceremony (with the permission of the venue.) * Natural reportage post ceremony photos. * A mixture of formal (when requested,) and reportage reception portraits with family, friends and guests. * A session of ‘Intimate Photos’ with the Bride and Groom alone (at a different location if requested.) * Photos up to and including all of your first dance. * DVD slide show of all the photographs from your day in luxury folio case with 5 x 5 inch print. * 250-300 5 x 4 inch proof prints of all your images for you to keep. * Your choice of albums, either a 15 page luxury Reportage album with two Reportage parent albums, or our luxury classic Storybook album set. Contact us for package options, further details and prices. Travel and Accommodation costs These are not as high as you may think. Where possible Nic will find a return flight using a budget airline from Cardiff, Bristol or Heathrow airports, and will look for a budget hotel as close to your chosen wedding venue as possible, within the realms of a reasonable nightly charge. We will supply you with a 'travel cost estimate' at the time of booking and will then confirm all travel and accommodation costs as soon as bookings have been made. The only other thing to consider is that a hire car is usually required unless you are able to make travel arrangements on Nic's behalf in the local area of your wedding. How long will you spend at our destination? Where possible, Nic will arrive with at least one full day to spare before the big day itself. This time is used to visit all the locations you plan to use on the day, and if you wish and have the time, is something he can do with you both. He will usually leave the day after your wedding but this of course depends upon the availability of flights.
