Location-based portrait session in Cardiff

Monday, January 26th, 2009

It was my pleasure to photograph Owen and Rhiannon for the second time on Sunday at their new home in Cardiff.
Having got married on St. David’s Day in 2008, this location-based portrait session was scheduled in time before their first year wedding anniversary, with the resulting paper-based prints, hopefully making the perfect anniversay gift!
It was lovely to see them both again, almost a year after photographing them on their special wedding day, and we hope they enjoyed the session as much as Nic did. Your amazing proof images from this session will be with you within a few days.

We have had another wedding selected and published as a ‘Real Wedding’ feature in ‘Your South Wales Wedding Magazine.’ Click here to read the four page article on a stunning wedding Nic photographed in September last year at Nash Point Lighthouse and Cardiff Castle.

As always, thanks must go to the bride and groom featured, Caroline and Keith who were great fun to work with. We hope you both enjoy the four page spread.

Our new arrival!

Monday, January 5th, 2009

Regular readers of our blog will know that we rarely use it as a forum for our personal news, as we prefer to keep the content more relavant to our business and hopefully therefore, more interesting for our clients.

However we have received so many requests from friends and clients (both past, present and future,) to let them know about the birth of our second child, that we felt a quick entry here would be the best way of ensuring that everyone received the news at the same time, and that in our ‘lack of sleep, post baby arrival phase,’ didn’t forget someone.
Diana gave birth to Joshua Nicholas Cleave on Thursday January 1st at 04.55am. He weighed 4070 grams (9lbs exactly in old money,) and both Mum and Josh are doing great. The images above were taken today as Josh is now 4 days old.
Nic has a few winter weddings left in January and will of course still be meeting couples to discuss their wedding photography requirements, but otherwise will be taking some paternity leave to spend time with Josh, his big sister Mia, and of course Diana.
We’d like to thank all of you who have already been so generous with cards and beautiful gifts, and we will of course be in touch more personally with you all over the next few days and weeks.
What a fantastic way to start 2009. A happy new year from Nic, Diana, Mia and Josh to you all xxx
